  • Oversee the production, review, and coordination of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Support Senior Health & Safety Business Partners in building strong working relationships with Directors, Managers, Colleagues, Trade Unions, Partners, and Contractors.
  • Promote and share examples of good practice across the Group.
  • Support the business on matters relating to Employee and Public Liability, maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Assist with Group-wide initiatives that drive continuous improvement in health & safety.

About you

  • Experience in a health & safety advisor or coordinator role.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (NVQ 5) desirable.
  • A track record of promoting a positive safety culture.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Experience creating and delivering training materials.
  • Confident in prioritising and producing risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
  • Able to assess, prioritise, and mitigate risk effectively.
  • Highly organised, detail‑focused, and able to work independently.
  • Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working in a field‑based environment.

Reward & benefits

  • A fair and competitive salary evaluated against market data, annual discretionary bonus scheme, pension, life assurance, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and enhanced family leave.
  • Commitment and dedication to your ongoing personal and professional development. We help you to own and grow your potential so you can be at your best in your current role and to support your future career aspirations.
  • You will have access to a wealth of employee discounts across the Halfords suite of products and services.
  • Wellbeing and inclusion are at the heart of our colleague experience. We offer resources and ongoing support to enhance your wellbeing at work and active Colleague Networks supporting inclusion initiatives across Halfords.
