About the role

Help us shape the future of online services at Halfords. We’re looking for a proactive Senior Digital Merchandiser on a fixed term contract within Repairs to optimise customer journeys, grow online bookings and sales, and ensure our Repairs category stands out across the Halfords Group websites. Reporting to the Digital Merchandising Manager within Services, you’ll play a key role in supporting our ambition to become the market leader in Repairs.

In this role, you’ll supporting in owning the online merchandising, range management and maintenance of all Repairs products and services making sure every item is live, accurate and compelling. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across Digital, Commercial, Marketing and Customer Contact to continually improve performance and deliver an exceptional experience for our customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the digital merchandising expert for Repairs, driving bookings and online sales across Halfords and National websites to hit ambitious growth targets.
  • Manage and maintain the online Repairs catalogue, ensuring every product page feature high-quality descriptions, specifications, imagery and accurate attribution.
  • Work with Commercial teams to keep the Repairs range competitive and launch new lines online quickly and effectively.
  • Partner with Digital Trading and CRO teams to analyse performance, identify opportunities and improve conversion, attachment rates and overall category success sharing competitor insights along the way.
  • Take part in regular trading meetings, reviewing sales and performance to influence decisions and drive positive change.
  • Support digital development releases by providing ideas and recommendations that enhance the customer journey and improve user experience.
  • Collaborate with SEO teams to ensure Repairs pages are fully optimised, delivering relevant, keyword-rich content across all sites.
  • Continuously review and enhance the customer journey, making recommendations that improve usability, reduce frustration and boost digital NPS.
  • Plan and deliver scheduled and reactive campaigns and promotions, ensuring timely site updates and strong re-merchandising.
  • Work with the Customer Contact team to understand feedback, resolve issues and help implement improvements.
  • Support the wider Digital Merchandising team with training, toolkits and best-practice guidelines, including during peak trading periods.
