About the role

Halfords is seeking a capacity and utilisation pricing manager/analyst, supporting the SMR category (Servicing, Maintenance and Repairs) alongside responsibility of Utilisation Pricing for appointment related services, contributing to the overall pricing strategy and execution across the Halfords Group.

In our Group Pricing Centre of Excellence, you'll hone your skills with cutting-edge tools and strategies to keep us competitive. Your expertise will be crucial to the success of our commercial planning team and broader organisation, ensuring our continued growth and market leadership.

You will run and maintain pricing systems, deliver data and insights to key stakeholders, and champion commercial thinking. It is a chance to make a real impact in a brand trusted by millions.

Key responsibilities

  • Be part of a high-performing pricing team that supports the entire Halfords Group with market-leading tools, data, and insight.
  • Translate our pricing strategy into action across Garages and Mobile
  • Use Excel and SQL to model pricing scenarios and assess the impact on sales, profit, and market share.
  • Work with our competitor pricing intelligence provider, managing web scraping and third-party partners to keep us ahead of the market.
  • Support in building business cases for pricing decisions and embed commercial thinking across trading teams.
  • Maintaining pricing dashboards, tools and reports using Power BI, Excel, and SQL to deliver actionable insight.
  • Chair meetings key stakeholders, making recommendations to influence pricing decisions and tracking actions through to delivery.

About you

  • Experience in managing pricing within a capacity-based business, preferably in the automotive, retail or hospitality industries
  • Strong Excel skills for building models and analysing the impact of pricing changes on revenue, profit, and market share. Knowledge of SQL and Power BI would be beneficial.
  • Experience in presenting insights and influencing category teams to adopt data-led approaches.
  • Having the ability to translate complex pricing data into clear, actionable insight. Knowledge of SQL and Power BI would be beneficial.
  • Confident leading pricing forums, presenting to senior stakeholders, and driving cross-functional alignment.
  • Able to simplify complex data and influence stakeholders at all levels to drive action and change. Comfortable in the detail, but able to step back.
  • Takes ownership for outcomes, follows through on actions, and holds others to account in a constructive way. Actively seeks out opportunities to improve pricing performance and challenge established ways of working.
  • Builds strong relationships across functions, working closely with trading, buying, finance and data teams to drive alignment.
