About the role
We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager – Garage Services to play pivotal role in executing the go-to-market strategy for Halfords’ Garage Services business. Reporting to the Head of Marketing – Garage Services and leading a small team, this role is accountable for delivering the 90-day marketing plan and driving alignment across channels, category, and operations.
We're looking for a highly organised, data-driven marketer who can balance operational delivery at pace with a forward-thinking, strategic mindset. You'll ensure clarity and coordination across the business, so everyone knows what’s happening, when, where, and why, while keeping customer and commercial outcomes front of mind.
With a coaching leadership style, you'll support and develop two direct reports, helping them grow while fostering a high-performance culture. You’ll also manage external agencies, oversee measurement and performance tracking, and support local marketing initiatives to ensure relevance and impact at site level.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and rollout of the 90-day Garage Services go-to-market plan, ensuring all stakeholders have clear visibility, alignment, and ownership.
- Manage, coach, and support two direct reports, creating a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Brief and coordinate with internal channel teams to deliver integrated campaigns across digital, retail, CRM, and other key touchpoints—on time, on brand, and on budget.
- Act as the go-to marketing contact for garage operations and category teams, ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration and readiness.
- Oversee day-to-day relationships with media and creative agencies, ensuring campaigns are insight-driven, customer-focused, and deliver commercial results.
- Help embed and support the marketing measurement framework, enabling the team to track performance, assess impact, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Champion local marketing activity, supporting the development and execution of initiatives that drive footfall, increase conversion, and maintain brand consistency across all sites.
- Run post-campaign reviews to capture insights and learnings that continuously improve future planning and execution.

- Highly collaborative, working closely with both internal teams and external agency partners to deliver impactful marketing.
- Confident navigating matrixed organisations—ideally with experience in the service, retail, or automotive sectors.
- Organised, structured, and able to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Commercially focused, with a clear understanding of how to drive and measure marketing effectiveness.
- Skilled at local marketing, with experience tailoring plans to drive results at site level.
- A strong communicator who can influence stakeholders and keep projects moving at pace.
