Commercial Depot Managers are responsible for the day-to-day management of the depot including colleagues, customers and stock. They are personally responsible for our customer experience and for maximising profit and minimising loss. Depot Managers will ensure that all colleagues have absolute clarity on their targets and will promote the Company values and working ethos to colleagues by example. They will ensure colleagues have the correct equipment to fulfil jobs safely and efficiently. They will create a positive working environment and hold monthly meetings to update and ensure effective communication throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Exceed customer expectations and deliver the excellent service for which we are known.
- Organise and delegate pre-booked and incoming jobs to colleagues.
- Advise and quote customers on products and all services offered.
- Ensure all key KPI targets are met, and drive sales, margin and profit.
- Complete relevant paperwork and maintain electronic databases/systems accurately and to the required standard.
- Ensure all colleagues are aware and accountable of their roles and responsibilities.
- Devise an effective ‘on call’ rota and ensure holiday portal is up to date.
- Ensure correct stock procedure is followed, reporting any discrepancies to their Regional General Manager.
- Ensure depot is Health and Safety and Company policy compliant, with all colleagues aware of policies and procedures and completing required tasks on our Company compliance portal.
- Escalate any serious internal/external issues to Regional General Manager.
- Review colleague wellbeing and complete Reviews and Inductions within designated timescales.
- Responsible for recruitment, interview and appointment of the right colleagues in the right roles.
- Assist with training and development of trainees.
- Be an Ambassador for the Halfords CFS Values and support stakeholders to achieve one united business across all entities within Commercial Fleet Services.
Required Skills
- Have correct level of training required for job role with previous managerial experience.
- Hold a current full valid driving licence.
- commercial tyre fitting & fleet tyre management: 3 years (preferred)
- Committed to achieving targets, maximising profit and minimising loss.
- Ability to deliver Company KPIs and share targets with colleagues.
- Motivate and maintain high levels of colleague morale, and enthusiastically instil Company values.
- Experienced in the training and development of colleagues.
- Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of customers and colleagues.
- Ability to generate reports on stock/casing levels and locations.
- Remain professional and reflect the Company values in your behaviours at all times.
