About the role
As the assistant Category Manager your main focus will be to provide full support to the Category Team in the day to day running of the business
Key Accountabilities
- To work cross functionally and with external suppliers on a day-to-day basis to ensure efficient management of the Category. Developing broad based product knowledge to enable rapid resolution of product areas.
- To assist in the collation of information, including product and market data to support Category decision-making.
- To assist the category Team with the management and administration of commercial agreements.
- To assist the product Teams with the planning and implementation of promotional activity and pricing strategies.
- Support the category teams through ongoing monitoring rebates and contributions for product groups on a regular basis, keep accurate records and submit to Finance
Skills & Experience
- Strong IT skills inc Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
- Excellent communication skills within the team, the organisation and with external stakeholders
- Excellent organisation skills
- The ability to be proactive
- Great team working skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively
- The desire to learn about our product ranges
- Excellent, fast-paced and efficient data inputting skills
