About the role

As a key figure within the eCommerce team, the Digital Merchandising Manager will be responsible for defining and implementing the Digital Promotional & Loyalty strategy vision across halfords.com products and services. 

You’ll  also be responsible for the effective management of Campaigns & Promotions activities on Halfords.com ensuring right first-time implementation and optimised customer journeys.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 4 with roles spanning Merchandising, Design and Front End Development 
  • Accountability for the end to end delivery of Promotional and Loyalty campaign activity
  • Be the ‘go to’ online contact for marketing , Loyalty teams & B2B Teams
  • Own the trading plan to ensure there is clarity on the activity and an understanding that it will deliver our Sales & Margin budget
  • Constantly analyse performance to understand how our campaign activity is performing, tracking and reporting on performance and communicate to the wider business.
  • In alignment with the Digital Strategy, define the FY Campaign, promotions & Loyalty objectives and strategy to drive conversion.
  • Flag risks to the budget and gain buy in from the business for changes to campaign activity based on budget expectations, competitor activity and data from previous campaigns

 

Skills & Experience

  • Strong business acumen and good level of commercial awareness
  • Strong analytical skills, awareness of key technologies and tools
  • Experience in defining and delivering initiatives to improve conversion
  • Deep understanding and experience of customer journeys
  • Very good stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Able to influence teams and senior management alike
  • Act quickly and decisively using good judgement in making decisions and performing actions
  • Good at building business relationships internally and externally with partners and suppliers
  • Ideally had some exposure to Offline Marketing
