The commercial and litigation legal function is integral to this, advising on a wide spectrum of complex and high-value matters.

About the role

Join our Legal, Governance & Compliance team as a Commercial & Litigation Paralegal, supporting a broad range of litigation matters, dispute resolution, commercial contracts and legal projects across the business. Working closely with stakeholders from across the organisation, you'll gain valuable in-house experience while contributing to litigation matters, claims, commercial agreements and strategic legal initiatives.

We're looking for a motivated legal professional with excellent attention to detail, strong drafting skills and a genuine interest in dispute resolution. Key responsibilities

  • Support the management of litigation and dispute resolution matters, including preparing correspondence, legal documentation, evidence bundles, witness statements and court-related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and trackers for litigation matters, monitoring court deadlines, procedural timetables and key dates to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with assessing claims, disputes and litigation risk by gathering information, reviewing relevant documentation, drafting and working with internal stakeholders to provide guidance and support.
  • Conduct legal research and provide practical support across litigation, commercial and regulatory matters.
  • Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, providing timely legal support and helping coordinate responses to disputes, claims and legal enquiries.
  • Assist with the review, drafting, negotiation and administration of commercial contracts, including but not limited to supplier agreements, non-disclosure agreements, consultancy agreements, service agreements and general terms and conditions.
  • Support intellectual property matters, including liaising with external advisers and assisting with the protection and enforcement of the company's intellectual property rights.
  • Review marketing and promotional materials, providing copy clearance support to help ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain legal records, precedents, trackers and matter management systems to support the efficient operation of the Legal, Governance & Compliance function.

About you

  • Law Degree, Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) or equivalent legal qualification plus LPC, SQE 2 or an equivalent professional legal qualification.
  • Previous experience within litigation, dispute resolution, commercial law, or a similar legal environment.
  • Strong drafting, written communication and proofreading skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work to deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy under pressure.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to identify legal risks and apply practical solutions.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and keen to develop a career across litigation, dispute resolution and commercial legal matters.
