About the role

Join us at the forefront of operational excellence. As a Retail Continuous Improvement Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of initiatives and projects that optimise processes and procedures across our entire Retail network. Reporting to the Senior CI Manager, you’ll work hand-in-hand with our Workforce Management and Deployment teams to ensure every improvement lands seamlessly. You’ll be responsible for driving workstreams that align retail operations with strategic priorities, unlock forecasted savings, and deliver measurable capacity gains. Key responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of lean change initiatives, supporting to land multi-million efficiency projects on time, on budget, and with measurable results.
  • Build and maintain a high-impact pipeline of opportunities that cut costs, boost productivity, and drive continuous improvement across Retail.
  • Align acquisitions and operational processes to seamlessly deliver strategic priorities and long-term business goals.
  • Craft persuasive, data-driven business cases for strategic change, guiding decisions through established governance frameworks.
  • Continuously review and refine in-store processes to strengthen customer confidence and elevate the shopping experience.
  • Engage cross-functional, field, and store teams to sustain improvement projects and embed lean ways of working.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver smarter, leaner business solutions that optimise operations while protecting capital investment.
  • Works directly with wider group support teams, field and store management teams to ensure process and systems optimise the customer proposition requirements.

About you

  • Collaborative team player with a strong track record in retail, service industry, or comparable operational environments.
  • Adaptable problem-solver who thrives amid shifting priorities while staying aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Clear and persuasive communicator, able to influence, engage, and inspire teams across all levels of the business.
  • Desirable: Skilled in Lean Thinking or Six Sigma, leveraging these methods to boost efficiency and reduce costs. Experience in project management or leading business change initiatives is also highly desirable.
  • A full driving licence is required for this role; this is a field-based role that requires travel to our Redditch office and our Retail Stores (company car is included).

This is a field-based role with travel to our Redditch Support Centre once a month (minimum). Your remaining time will combine store visits with working from home.
