About the role

We’re on the lookout for a strategic, future-focused Head of B2B Sales to lead the charge in driving growth across our trade, corporate, and institutional channels. This is more than a sales role - it’s your chance to take the reins, own performance end-to-end, and deliver game-changing commercial impact.

You’ll design and drive a high-impact strategy that fuels pipeline momentum, lands new business, and deepens key client relationships. Leading a talented team of sales and account professionals, you’ll inspire big thinking, push for excellence, and consistently raise the bar on results.

We want a strategic powerhouse and hands-on leader - someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, sees opportunity in every conversation, and brings energy, insight, and innovation to everything they do. In this pivotal role, you’ll help shape how Halfords partners with clients from growing SMEs to major employers and benefit providers - setting the standard for what best-in-class B2B really looks like.

Key responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of B2B sales performance - from pipeline generation to deal conversion and revenue delivery.
  • Shape and lead a high-impact sales strategy across key offerings, including trade accounts, salary sacrifice, and mobility solutions.
  • Build, inspire, and manage a top-performing sales team with clear goals, sharp accountability, and a winning mindset.
  • Personally manage strategic enterprise accounts, ensuring long-term growth, retention, and exceptional service delivery.
  • Lead high-value contract negotiations and renewals, securing commercial success and strategic alignment.
  • Identify and act on cross-sell and upsell opportunities using client insight and data-driven thinking.
  • Develop and grow strategic partnerships with platforms, trade bodies, and institutions to unlock new revenue streams.
  • Represent Halfords at industry events, elevating our brand and opening doors to new business opportunities.
  • Oversee client success and retention, delivering scalable, high-impact support that drives satisfaction and lifetime value.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture - driving continuous improvement and aligning teams behind shared commercial goals.

About you

  • You’ve led high-performing B2B sales teams in fast-paced, growth-focused environments - and have the results to prove it.
  • You bring deep expertise in managing enterprise clients, closing complex deals, and building long-term strategic partnerships.
  • You’re a master of consultative selling, with a sharp grasp of the full sales cycle and what it takes to win.
  • You combine commercial acumen with strong analytical thinking - turning data and insight into smart, strategic action.
  • You lead with energy, clarity, and accountability - inspiring teams, owning outcomes, and thriving under pressure.
