About the role
As the IT Programme Manager, you will be joining Halfords at an exciting time to deliver successfully against our garage services objectives. You will manage projects within the programme to time, cost and quality. You will effectively own the relevant stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the PMO and Project managers to ensure Project deliverables are to quality
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the business units in the Halfords Group
- Develop good working relationships with relevant third-party partners and suppliers
- Working with the PMO and Resource Managers, to ensure resources are assigned for the agreed programme, which supports the business strategy and delivery of Technology services.
- Understand commercial drivers and business strategy to ensure appropriate project prioritisation
- Produce and maintain programme plans and critical paths, identifying key dependencies across the portfolio and to other areas
- Work with sponsors within the business to ensure business objectives are met, the business change is managed, and the benefits are realised.
Key Skills/Experience
- Programme manager with proven track-record of successfully delivering complex multi-million-pound programmes and projects (or workstreams) to timeline, quality and cost
- Excellent level of communication and influencing skills, proactive problem solver
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with peers and senior colleagues
- Has a hands-on approach, is delivery focused with an emphasis on practical results
- Is collaborative and works in a co-operative way
- Able to rationalise potential issues, provide solutions and make or escalate decisions when required
- Can prioritise and plan effectively (own workload and team)
- Dynamic and fast paced attitude, recognises when urgency is required
