As our Ecommerce Executive you'll be responsible for the development and optimisation of the search and navigation conversion rate on Halfords website and other digital products.

Key Responsibilities:

For the Search & Navigation functions

  • Define and implement the search & navigation optimization strategy and vision for Halfords digital products, in line with the Digital
  • Merchandising strategy
  • Own and drive the development of the Salesforce tool and the right initiatives to continually increase conversion rate and average basket value
  • Utilise and break down data from multiple sources, performing deep dive and further investigation as needed to lead to actionable business insights
  • Work in hand with the Group Digital Optimisation Manager to develop and support initiatives
  • Monitor and report on changing customer shopping behaviour
  • Ensure that all business decisions are based on data analysis insights and drive value for the customer
  • Remain up to date with latest tools and best practices in search and navigation conversion rate optimisation
  • Form strong working relationships with the Data Analysis team, CRO Manager, Digital Optimisation Manager as all navigation decisions should be based on data insights
  • Work closely with the Merchandising team to ensure that the right content is in place to drive conversion
  • Provide regular updates to the digital leadership team and key business stakeholders on new initiatives, data insights and key results
  • Ensure best possible service is provided remaining up to date with new thinking, good practices and trends
  • Build a network of trusted partners and suppliers, using them to provide insight and support as needed to help develop the digital marketing activities
  • Manage partners/suppliers that are providing a service to ensure it delivers against expectations
  • Manage contracts with partners/suppliers including contract renewal/negotiations and provision of additional value add services and advice
  • As the new digital function is being established, ensure:
    • ways of working are defined, clear, are understood and are being consistently followed
  • Performance Management:
    • Gathers and evaluates feedback on performance on a regular basis
    • Summarises feedback to focus on key strengths and development areas

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience in defining and delivering initiatives to improve conversion
  • Experience of customer journeys, search and digital navigation
  • Strong business acumen and good level of commercial awareness
  • Very good stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Able to influence teams and senior management alike
  • Act quickly and decisively using good judgement in making decisions and performing actions
  • Good analytical skills, awareness of key technologies and tools used for Data analysis
  • Good at building business relationships internally and externally with partners and suppliers
  • Ideally had some exposure to Offline Marketing
  • Passionate about digital products

Flexible work from home options available - Some travel to our support centre in Redditch Worcestershire will be required at times.
