As one of our Digital Merchandising Managers, you will be responsible for the effective management, coordination, and implementation of our merchandising strategy on halfords.com and our National Tyres & Autocre sites. Your main focus will be ensuring the right implementation of optimized range and customer journeys to achieve our commercial and customer targets. Your success will be measured by driving sales, improving NPS (Net Promoter Score), and executing merchandising strategies with excellence.

In this role, you will work closely with various functions within the Digital & Customer, Marketing, and Trading teams to maximise the impact of merchandising efforts. You will lead the implementation of detailed merchandising and optimization plans, driving customer engagement and conversion of customer journeys. Collaborating with key stakeholders, including digital, trading, marketing, and operations, you will ensure seamless teamwork and the successful delivery of agreed plans.

What will I be doing? 

  • You'll be responsible for implementing our Tyres strategy, ensuring optimized range and customer journeys to achieve commercial and customer targets. Your success will be measured by driving sales and improving NPS, giving you the opportunity to showcase your merchandising expertise and achieve tangible results.
  • You'll work closely with various teams, including Digital & Customer, Marketing, and Trading, fostering seamless teamwork and maximizing the impact of merchandising efforts. This collaborative environment allows you to learn from diverse perspectives, expand your skills, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • As our Digital Merchandising Manager, you'll focus on the customer journey and user experience to drive conversion for new ranges. You'll have the chance to coach and lead your team in prioritizing the customer in decision-making, creating a customer-centric culture throughout the organization.

What we are looking for: 

  • Experience in Digital Merchandising at the managerial level
  • Experience in defining and delivering initiatives to improve conversion
  • Deep understanding and experience of customer journeys
  • Strong business acumen and a good level of commercial awareness
  • Very good stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Able to influence teams and senior management alike
  • Act quickly and decisively using good judgement in making decisions and performing actions
  • Good analytical skills, awareness of key technologies and tools used for Data analysis
  • Good at building business relationships internally and externally with partners and suppliers
  • Ideally had some exposure to Offline Marketing
